"Tails for Troops" Fundraiser to Benefit Veterans

On Sunday, April 7, between 12 and 3 p.m., Marywood University will host "Tails for Troops" at Abington Dog Park, Clarks Summit.

The event will benefit Paws and Stripes, an organization that trains rescued sheltered dogs to become service dogs for wounded military veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Through this event, the organization hopes to raise $2,500 to sponsor one veteran and dog.

There will be a dog pageant, basket raffles, homemade dog treats for sale, a dog talent show, local shelter dogs for adoption and local vendors.
