Sr. Anne Munley, Marywood University President

Welcome to Marywood University!

Whatever dreams and possibilities you can envision for yourself, Marywood can help you realize your place in this world.

I can say this with confidence, as I count myself among the over 30,000 individuals who are Marywood graduates. Being a part of this university community is an experience like no other. Marywood’s impact on my life has been a tremendous one, and I have been honored to serve as its 11th president since 2007.

Each one of us in the Marywood community can claim a bold heritage that propels us forward. For nearly a century, Marywood has provided an education in the IHM tradition of academic excellence that continues to grow and thrive. This is a pivotal time in our history. As we approach our Centennial Celebration—just two short years away—University activities and initiatives (including our website) will more visibly reflect ties to our cherished heritage, while simultaneously positioning us for an exciting future.

Be a part of this incredible momentum—get involved and stay active! We will provide plenty of opportunities for you to support and reflect our mission in this region and throughout the world. Marywood educates students according to their specific professional and personal goals, but students at all levels enjoy the benefits of being in a setting that fosters and encourages diverse, compassionate leadership, demonstrates the importance of global thinking, and provides the tools for living responsibly in an interdependent world.

Indeed, our graduates leave Marywood well prepared as leaders in service to others, whether they specialize in education, business, science, human services, allied health fields, the arts, or any of the over 100 academic programs we offer on undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

Our four colleges and related schools include:

  • The Reap College of Education and Human Development
  • The Insalaco College of Creative and Performing Arts
    • The School of Architecture
  • The College of Health and Human Development
    • The School of Social Work and Administrative Studies
  • The Munley College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Our website is one way in which we reach an increasingly global audience and can offer educational access to a greater extent than ever before. I invite you to learn more about Marywood University by taking advantage of this wonderful tool, but, better yet—come and visit us soon, and see first-hand the many exciting possibilities in store for you!

Sincerely,

Sister Anne Munley, IHM
