Adult Basic Literacy Education

Marywood Offers Free Adult Basic Literacy Education Classes

Marywood University provides free classes to the community, as part of a program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Adult Education.  Classes offer a full range of instructional services that help prepare Pennsylvanians looking to develop basic skills necessary to participate fully in the education of their children, find and keep family-sustaining employment, or obtain a secondary school credential.

General Education Development (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in addition to tutoring sessions for adult basic education, ESL, and GED are now available. Tutoring sessions are arranged according to the tutor's and student's schedules.

Daytime, evening, and off campus classes are available with additional classes forming.  All classes meet in the Center for Natural and Health Sciences (CNHS) unless otherwise indicated. To enroll, you must be at least 18 years of age.

If interested in attending classes please contact us at (570) 348-6237.
