The new Pocono Program at East Stroudsburg University has enrolled a class for 2013.
Master of Social Work (MSW)
Our Master of Social Work (MSW) program will teach you advanced, self-critical, competent, creative, resourceful, and ethical social work practices in a flexible learning environment.
We will provide the knowledge, values, and skills necessary to advocate for the rights of diverse populations of people. Marywood's School of Social Work and Administrative Studies is an active participant in the community, facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships that both contribute to student education and solve current and social service needs.
Tuition, Scholarships and Assistantships
The graduate admission application serves as the academic merit scholarship application for prospective graduate students to the MSW Degree Program in the School of Social Work and Administrative Studies. MSW Degree Program Merit Scholarships may only be garnered at the time of acceptance to the University. The departmental academic progress file serves as the scholarship application for current graduate students in the MSW Degree Program. There are no other documentation obligations for merit scholarship consideration for prospective and current MSW Degree Program graduate students.
Prospective MSW Degree Program graduate students must have a complete admissions application on file with the Office of University Admissions by April 15, 2013 to receive consideration for a merit scholarship. Prospective students selected to receive a merit scholarship will be notified soon after they receive their admission acceptance packet.
Beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year, Marywood University has set the tuition for the MSW Program on all Marywood University campuses at $725 per credit. The University seeks to provide a high-quality professional degree program in Social Work at a very competitive price. In order to create this compelling value for every student in the MSW Degree Program, the need-based aid program for the MSW Degree will be replaced by a competitive and equitable tuition for the program. We will offer the Merit Scholarship Program for MSW students on all campuses.
Prospective and current graduate students from the School of Social Work and Administrative Studies who wish to be considered for graduate assistantship should use the Master's Degree, Educational Specialist Degree, and Post-Baccalaureate Assistantship Application.
