In this seminar style course (1.5 credits), students will increase their knowledge about individuals with serious mental illness. Students will apply already-developed knowledge of interventions to work with this population. This course will emphasize the recovery model and teach specific evidence-based practices consistent with this model that treat serious mental illness, as well as services available for support and employment opportunities that are commonly implemented in interdisciplinary treatment settings.
