Environmental Stewardship Summer Camp

For children ages 10–14, this summer camp will educate students to be better environmental stewards, allowing them to embody Marywood University’s core value of Respect by caring for the Earth and all creation through a commitment to sustainability. Girls Lacrosse Camp

This camp will focus on lacrosse skills with a lot of fun. Girls going into 5th-9th grade are invited to a three-day camp of instruction. We will develop stick work, dodging, individual and team offense /defense, and include a scrimmage atmosphere by the end of the week. We will have daily competitions and a camper-of-the-week giveaway. Mornings filled with lacrosse will be the best way to start your day. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and instruction from current college athletes and coaches. Girls lacrosse players are encouraged to bring their teammates and friends to enjoy three days of skill and development. Register by June 10. Boys Basketball Instructional Camps

Monday, June 28, 2021 - Friday, July 2, 2021

The camp will be offered to boys 7-15 years old. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Each day, campers will go through a dynamic stretch, ball handling workout, six stations and one game set each morning. After lunch, there will be a lesson/skills clinic demonstrated by coaches and Marywood Men’s Basketball team members. Following the clinics, we will conduct a daily competition (Hot Shot, Free Throws, 1-on-1, etc.) and then complete at least 2-3 more game sets to conclude the day. The final hour of our day will provide a choice for campers to either swim or play in a supervised open gym. Dismissal from camp will be at 4 p.m. each day. We will invite parents to attend our awards ceremony on the last day of camp (Championship Friday). Each camper will receive a basketball, t-shirt and top-notch instruction from our Marywood Men’s Basketball players and staff. Register by June 14. Pottery and Sculpture Camp

High School students will have the opportunity to throw pots on pottery wheels, as well as learn hand building techniques like slab building and creating coil pots. Digital Photography Camp

Monday, June 28, 2021 - Friday, July 2, 2021

High School students will learn digital photography basics using your smartphone camera or digital SLR and Adobe Photoshop. Students will explore digital photography techniques including shooting modes, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, white balance, and composition. Comic Book Camp

High School students will learn to speak in sequential art, the visual language of comics! Create entire universes with nothing more than a pencil, paper, and ink! In the weeklong Comic Book Camp, we’ll focus on character creation and design, narrative structure and pacing, viewpoint and focus, visual cues, choosing the style of rendering to best compliment your narrative, and much more—everything you need to create rich, convincing worlds in which to immerse your audience. Design Your Future ONLINE

Open to Rising Junior/Senior Status or 2021 High School Graduate. The Design Your Future ONLINE camp offers students a significant first experience in architectural and interior education. In this two-week online program, they will engage in the process of design and develop the basic tools of imagination and expression. Volleyball Summer Camp

Tuesday, July 6, 2021 - Thursday, July 8, 2021

This will be a three-day camp offered to girls from 9th grade to 12th grade. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and lunch will be provided each day. Campers will be divided into two groups (9th-10th) and (11th-12th) with some flexibility based on skill level. Each day campers will go through warm up drills, stretching, ball drills, individual drills and 4 -6 stations. After lunch, there will be lessons demonstrated by coaches and Marywood volleyball team members. Following the lessons, we will do team drills, run and explain game situations and finish with controlled scrimmages. Register by June 29. Esports Virtual Coed Summer Camp

Monday, July 12, 2021 - Thursday, July 15, 2021

This will be a four-day virtual camp offered to all students in 9th-12th grades. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about esports in a variety of capacities: organized practices and scrimmages, training tips across multiple titles, learning about careers and production, and more. Participants will learn from coaches in individual and team drills. At the end of the camp week, matches will be broadcast for parents to watch live or afterwards as recordings. Register by June 28. Biotechnology Camp

The camp is designed to attract high school students interested in pursuing degrees in biology, biotechnology, and medical fields. Students will be exposed to a variety of different techniques related to DNA and proteins to gain an understanding of the structure and function of the molecules. In addition, students will gain knowledge of applications used in medicine and the biotechnology industry regarding how DNA and proteins can be used to diagnose and treat disease. Family Basketball Camp

Saturday, July 24, 2021 - Sunday, July 25, 2021

Participants will receive instruction from the Marywood coaches, along with current players, through detailed skill work and competitions in the Insalaco Arena at Marywood University. Parent-Child teams will participate with fellow campers of appropriate age groups (based on child’s age/grade level) in competitions that incorporate skills learned throughout the camp. The skill work is designed to give both parent and child useful drills and techniques to take home and continue working on together. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to bond with your child/children through basketball and friendly, light-hearted competition. Minimum Age: 5 Register by July 15. The camp will provide soccer-based and other fun activities to all campers. The soccer-based instruction will be for all levels and based on the ability of each camper. The camp will provide individual activities as well as group activities. The Camp will be run by both coaches and our Men’s Soccer Players. The camp will also provide swim time, concession stand, and free time where we will watch soccer based highlights or short movie clips which are age appropriate. Ages 8 - 12. Register by July 7. Cryptology Summer Camp

Monday, August 2, 2021 - Thursday, August 5, 2021

Open to High School students enrolled in AP or Honors mathematics courses. Including rising juniors and seniors at local high schools. Algorithms for encrypting and decrypting messages have been used since the time of Julius Caesar, who used them to transmit secrets during the Gallic Wars. Since that time, not only the military, but any person or organization that conducts financial business over insecure communication lines needs to employ complex encryption techniques. This camp will introduce students to cryptology, the study of encryption and decryption techniques that are in common use today. Cryptology is used by specialists in Information Security, a highly lucrative and fulfilling career and one in great demand today. Marywood University Men’s Lacrosse Camp & ID Clinic

Players will be split up by age and work on basic skills as well as advanced concepts unique to the college game. Saturday will be used as a prospect day, and players will have the option to sign up for this day only. The experience also will include a campus tour, lunch each day, and a custom reversible jersey. Girls Field Hockey Jr. High/High School Preseason Prep Camp

The Marywood Field Hockey Jr. High/High School Preseason Prep Camp is offered to girls entering grades 7-12. Campers will be split into Jr. High and High School groups to keep skill and ages appropriate. Softball Summer Prospect Clinic

This summer prospective one-day clinic will be held for high schoolers in 9th-12th who are interested in playing collegiate softball. This camp will offer instruction and help improve athletes’ skills in offense, defense, pitching, base running, and more. Athletes will be instructed by the Marywood coaching staff and team.
