Department Assistant (#600)


40 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Summary of Duties

Answer and dispatch department request for assistance.  Responsible for overseeing annual files, timecards, issuing work requests.  Maintain operational manuals, inspection certificates, daily gas usage slips, vendor contracts and files.  Process mail distribution within department.  Must be able to issue purchase orders, process invoices, and perform monthly budget closeout.  Required to set up new vendors on Datatel system



High School Diploma

Work Experience Requirements

Previous experience in maintenance department, understand and work in Datatel finance model, and familiarity with school dude software.  Must be able to work in fast-paced environment, strong personal skills, strong computer background in office software, Word and Excel required. 

Essential Elements

Position considered essential personnel, must report to work during inclement weather days.
