Marywood's Center for Law, Justice & Policy Hosting Speaker Series in October
Marywood University’s Center for Law, Justice, and Policy is hosting a Policy Perspectives speaker series this October.
Patrick M. Seffrin, Ph.D., associate professor, directs the Center for Law, Justice, and Policy at Marywood. Dr. Seffrin says the series “will provide an invaluable opportunity to engage with leading legal professionals and gain insight into contemporary legal issues and practices.”
The series provides the opportunity for anyone interested in law, justice, and policy to hear from professionals working on the frontlines of legal practice. Each speaker will offer their perspective on various legal and policy-related topics.
Event dates and speakers include:
- Thursday, October 3: Timothy Doherty, Assistant District Attorney of Lackawanna County
- Tuesday, October 8: Ben Josielevski, Staff Attorney at Domestic Violence Service Center
- Thursday, October 17: Michael McGrath, Assistant District Attorney of Lackawanna County
- Tuesday, October 22: Michael Dempsey, Associate Attorney at Lenahan & Dempsey, P.C.
- Thursday, October 24: Corinne Taylor, Special Counsel at Coughlin and Gerhart, LLP
All events are free and open to the public, and each talk will take place on its respective date from 6-7 p.m. in The Cloud Room at the Center for Architectural Studies at Marywood University.
