Dr. Alexander Dawoody, Ph.D. is a Full Professor, a three-times Fulbright Scholar, and the Director of the NLPM and PhD programs in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience in higher education that included teaching in institutions such as Marywood University, Western Michigan University, the University of Texas,UNITEC in Honduras, Baku State University in Azerbaijan, KAZGUU University in Kazakhstan, and, Tianjin Normal University in China. Dr. Dawoody earned his Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Administration as well as a Master of Philosophy degree from Western Michigan University. He also earned a Master of Public Administration, and, a Master of Health Administration from Suffolk University-Boston, a Master of Education from Cambridge College-Massachusetts, and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. He is the Founding President of the Association for Middle Eastern Public Policy and Administration (AMEPPA), two sections at the American Society for Public Administration n (ASPA), as well as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Professional Studies, and the Journal of Middle Eastern Review of Public Administration. Dr. Dawoody is fluent in several foreign langages that include Arabic, Kurdish, Persian,and conversational Turkish and Spanish. He is also an artist (oil painting), a playwright, and a calligrapher.
