David is a designer, preservationist, artist, and technician. He applies his creative passion and technical skills toward solving problems big and small, inside and outside. He is passionate about preservation and adaptive re-use, and strives to present solutions that are economical, efficient and long lasting. David strives to continue to grow and expand his professional experience.
With over 8 years of professional experience and a focus in historic preservation, David brings his technical expertise to the academic world at Marywood. This expertise includes exterior detailing, waterproofing, and façade restoration. He also has work experience in the construction field, making him a valuable asset for field work and detailing. He has worked on a broad range of projects, including government and institutional, as well as high-end residential and small commercial projects, some involving renovation and adaptive reuse projects.
Currently David works at Architectural Preservation Studio, DPC, a historic preservation firm located in New York City. Here he works on projects of all types, and he has added several certifications and skills including training and certification for OSHA-10hr, NYC Suspended Scaffold, and SPRAT-L1 (Industrial Rope Access). David uses these skills to perform close-up façade inspections and construction administration field work.
David is passionate about architecture and art, practicing a wide range of disciplines, including architectural design, photography, sculpture, and painting. His practice of architecture is informed greatly by his creative pursuits, and he strives to bring a creative approach to every problem.
David holds a Bachelors of Architecture from Marywood University School of Architecture, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
