About Me: Hello! I joined the Marywood Admissions team in February of 2021. I earned my Bachelor’s degrees from East Stroudsburg University in 2017 in Political Science, Philosophy, and English Literature. In 2020 I completed coursework on my Master’s degree in English Literature from Seton Hall University where I specialized in Postcolonial Literature.

My Interests: I am an avid reader. My favorite genres are high fantasy sagas, like J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, and novels that feature strong women of color, such as Chimamanda Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus. Music is also a huge part of my life, as I play flute, piccolo, and all the saxophones.

Favorite Thing About Marywood: The sense of community here! Everyone is so welcoming and eager to help you in any way they can.

Favorite Place at Marywood: The Rotunda! I know this is everyone's answer, but stepping into the Rotunda everyday will never get old.

You’d Never Guess: I was a collegiate drum major. During my senior year at East Stroudsburg University I was the head drum major of the Warrior Marching Band and had the opportunity to lead the band at a huge collegiate festival in Allentown, PA. I was even interviewed after our performance and broadcast on TV!

Best Advice: Don’t leave your interests behind when you come to college. Whether you played a sport; performed with your drama club; played an instrument; or did community service, you can do it in college, too!
