Before joining the Marywood University Multimedia Communications Faculty, Mr. William Murphy worked as the Production Manager and Live Sports director at FOX56 WOLF-TV. While there, he led an award winning team of broadcast professionals to 9 Pennsylvania Association of Broadcaster Awards for Best Coverage of a Live Sporting event. As the production manager, his team produced studio television shows like The Volpe Report and thousands of client-approved commercials and segments. Some of his other credits include The Bronson Pinchot Project, Hotel Hell with Gordon Ramsey, and as an assistant editor for the Onion's web video team in New York City.

Mr. Murphy also was formerly a part of Marywood as an adjunct instructor, teaching Motion Graphics. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of Vermont and an M.A. in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College.

When his is not teaching or producing content, Mr. Murphy likes to go fly fishing on the Lackawanna River.
