Pacers for Justice and Peace to Hold Moment of Solidarity for Our Asian Pacific American Brothers and Sisters
Marywood University’s Pacers for Justice and Peace (PJP) will hold a Moment of Solidarity on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at noon, in the Memorial Garden. PJP’s purpose for this Moment of Solidarity is to show our Asian Pacific American Brothers and Sisters that we stand with them in support of civil and human rights.
As Asian American communities reel from an uptick in violence and hate spurred by racist rhetoric about the coronavirus pandemic, PJP is asking the Marywood community to take this first of many steps to bringing awareness to the violence and injustices committed against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
PJP plans to offer additional events prior to Asian American Pacific Heritage Month, which takes place during the month of May. Announcements regarding these events will be available in the near future.
