Marywood University among NEPA’s Best Places To Work for Fourth Consecutive Year
Best Places to Work 2022
For a fourth consecutive year, Marywood University is among The Times Leader’s NEPA’s Best Places to Work. The 2022 honor marks three consecutive Platinum wins for Marywood (2020-2021-2022), and four selections overall, including a Silver win in 2019.
Over a four-week period, employees from local businesses and readers of The Times Leader submit their votes through print and online submissions for “NEPA’s Best Place to Work”. The winning businesses are then separated into four tiers; Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Marywood won silver in 2019 and platinum in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
"We’ve worked in the office, worked from home, challenged ourselves to do better, to do more, and to give back to the community," said Diane McGee, Times Leader Media Group, in the award letter to Marywood University. "In these historic times, an award like this signifies your hard work, dedication, and desire to put employees first, despite a less-than-ideal climate."
Marywood University employees are dedicated persons who are committed to the mission of the University, their departments, and others. While the workplace role of an employee is primary, Marywood employees contribute their talents to a variety of additional activities, such as serving on committees, community service, and strategic planning, to name a few. Marywood employs nearly 700 full- and part-time faculty and staff members.

Marywood University was recently notified that it has been named a Platinum Winner among The Times Leader’s NEPA Best Places to Work in 2020. The NEPA businesses were separated into tiers including Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. A full list of winners will be published on Thursday, December 24, 2020, in a special section of The Times Leader.

Best Places to Work 2019
Marywood University was recently notified that it has been named among 2019’s Best Places to Work by the Times Leader Media Group. The silver award for Best Places to Work was presented to Christina Brundage, career engagement specialist, and Molly Baron, director of human resources at Marywood University, at a networking mixer that took place at Le Manhattan Bistro, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Times Leader Media Group Publisher, Mike Murray, said, “You all are here because people do believe that you are the best places to work.”
"This really has little to do with us,” Murray added, “People want to work for you.”
The winning businesses were separated into tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. A full list of winners will be published on Saturday, December 14, 2019, in a special section of The Times Leader. The businesses represented were diverse and cover a range of industries, including early childhood education, higher education, dentistry, emergency services and senior living facilities.
