Dr. Suzanne Murray Galella is an Associate Professor and Chairperson in the School of Education. She began her career as a special education teacher in the Abington Heights School District. After leaving PK-12 public education, she spent 20 years as a tenured faculty member and chairperson at Wilkes University in the School of Education. During her time at Wilkes, she led the department in oversight of undergraduate teacher education and accreditation.
Dr. Galella is a distinguished educator with a strong commitment to transforming teaching in learning in our Pk-12 schools as well as teacher preparation programs. She has spent her professional career ensuring equity and inclusion in education and is an advocate for ensuring that all students have the chance to grow socially, emotionally, and academically under teachers who have a growth mindset.
Dr. Galella received an EdD. from Wilkes University; MS in Special Education from Marywood University; and a BA in English from the University of Scranton. Some of the many honors she has received include Outstanding Advisor, Innovative Educator of the Year, Educator of the Year.
