Marywood University's Student-Alumni Mentoring Program — Pacer Station — provides opportunities for alumni and current students to connect and form meaningful relationships where mentors offer academic advice, career guidance, and nurture professional growth.  The program focuses on connecting participating alumni with students who share common interests and professional goals in order to enrich students' academic experience and better prepare them for a successful future beyond Marywood.

If you would like to connect with one of our mentors simply log into your Handshake account by going to marywood.joinhandshake.com and use your student email address.

Your profile has already been populated for you and you will just have to finish adding in whatever information you would like visible to the community. If you have not already logged in you will just need to create your own password.  Once logged in, simply click on Community and search for Marywood University only, and then in the Name search box type in MENTOR. This will populate the list of all of our alumni mentors who are ready and waiting for you to reach out.  If you find a mentor that you would like to communicate with simply click on the Message button. Handshake will guide you through the process and give you some input on how to best word your message.  Should you need any assistance with the mentoring program or connecting with our mentors, feel free to contact the Career Development Center at career@marywood.edu or 570-348-6247.

Mentors can also benefit from participating in the program.  Some of these benefits include:

  • Getting connected with up-and-coming talent.
  • Expanding their network.
  • Further developing their own leadership and professional skills.
  • Knowing that they helped shape someone's future.

To volunteer as a mentor, please complete the Alumni Volunteer Opportunities Form and check the box next to Alumni Career Advocate.  You will then receive an email that includes information on the application process.

For more information on the Student-Alumni Mentoring Initiative, contact the Career Development Center at career@marywood.edu or 570-348-6247.
