Christine Medley, associate professor of graphic design and printmaking at Marywood University, recently presented at a national conference hosted by the National Art Education Association.
Medley led a lecture and hands-on workshop titled “Alternative Materials for Easy and Safe Printmaking” during RENVISION, the 2026 NAEA National Convention, held in Chicago on March 6.
The annual convention is a highly competitive event, with more than 1,500 proposals submitted this year. All submissions were evaluated through a rigorous anonymous peer-review process, with criteria including statement of purpose and outcomes, organization of content, relevance of topic, impact on practice, and attention to cultural considerations.
Medley’s selection highlights the strength of her work in printmaking and her commitment to accessible and safe art practices. Her session provided both practical techniques and educational insight for fellow art educators, reinforcing Marywood’s continued presence at the national level in art and design education.
