Marywood Music Faculty and Students Featured in Cathedral Sacred Concert Series

Published

Ellen Rutkowski, adjunct instructor in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Marywood University, recently served as a featured soloist in a performance of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater at the Cathedral of St. Peter.

The performance, held on March 6, was part of the Cathedral’s ongoing sacred concert series, which highlights classical and sacred works performed by regional artists and ensembles.

In addition to faculty involvement, the Marywood Chamber Singers will also be featured in the series later this spring. Under the direction of Dr. Rick Hoffenberg, the ensemble is scheduled to perform on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m.

The upcoming performance continues Marywood’s strong presence in the regional arts community, showcasing both faculty and student musicians in collaborative and professional performance settings.
