Marywood University is celebrating the success of Giving Day 2026, which proved to be the most impactful in the university’s history.
Fueled by strong support from alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university, this year’s Giving Day raised more than $219,000 through over 1,150 individual gifts. The funds will support a wide range of initiatives across campus, including academics, athletics, service opportunities, and student experiences.
Among the highlights of this year’s campaign was “Ignite the Light for Science,” an initiative dedicated to funding critical upgrades for the Center for Natural and Health Sciences. The effort reflects Marywood’s continued commitment to enhancing learning environments and expanding opportunities for students in the sciences.
Marywood’s athletic community also made a significant impact, with teams collectively raising more than $46,000 in support of student-athletes. The strong showing underscores the pride and dedication surrounding the university’s athletic programs.
Organizers also recognized the important role of Giving Day Challengers, whose leadership gifts helped inspire participation and amplify the overall impact of the day.
“This year’s Giving Day truly demonstrated the strength and generosity of the Marywood community,” organizers shared. “We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and support that made this our most successful Giving Day yet.”
With record-breaking participation and fundraising totals, Giving Day 2026 stands as a testament to the power of community and the shared commitment to Marywood’s mission and future.
