Marywood Doctoral Student Earns Research and Scholarship Award from Penn State Berks

Published

Christina J. Steffy, MA, MLIS, a Ph.D. candidate in Marywood’s doctoral program in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies, is the recipient of the Penn State Berks Research and Scholarship Support Award for her dissertation research.

This competitive award requires a brief report and presentation to Penn State’s advisory board in May 2027, which also is the same timeframe that Steffy anticipates her dissertation completion at Marywood University.

“I’m happy to see the university believes my research is a valuable professional contribution,” said Steffy, who presently serves as an instructional designer for the Penn State University Berks Campus. “I have felt throughout this process that my topic of moral injury in mid-level academic affairs staff leaders in higher education was important, and I'm happy my dissertation is helping me get this research out there.”
