Christine Medley is a tenured associate professor of graphic design and printmaking and has worked as graphic designer and educator for over 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Maryland. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, she has followed a family tradition of letterpress printing. Her grandfather owned Omaha Typesetting until the early 1970s and now she owns The Workshop, a community letterpress and graphic design studio in downtown Scranton (www.crowdesigns.com).
Recent exhibits of her relief printing, letterpress, book arts, textiles, animation and collage have been shown in California, Missouri, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas. She is a member of AIGA, Ladies of Letterpress, Mid-Atlantic Print Council, and The Southern Graphics Council International.
