Research Interests
Dr. Muse-Burke conducts research and teaches in the areas of clinical supervision and counselor training, spirituality and religiosity in counseling and psychotherapy, and scale construction.

Janet L. Muse-Burke, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Marywood University. In addition, she is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania, and she maintains a private practice in downtown Scranton. Dr. Muse-Burke earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University (APA-accredited). She has co-authored three book chapters, three empirical articles, and two assessment tools related to clinical supervision. Further, she has published three articles and a book chapter in spirituality and counseling. Dr. Muse-Burke developed the Inclusive Spirituality Index, which has been used in Africa, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Spain, and the United States. Additionally, she is a frequent presenter on clinical supervision and spirituality at state, national, and international conferences.
