Marywood University Funds Student Research & Professional Development

Marywood University's Office of Student Engagement and Graduate Student Council are excited to remind graduate students that they are eligible to receive up to $500 in research & professional development funding during this academic year.

In the past, this funding was typically available as supplemental funding towards the costs of attending in-person conferences. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Student Engagement has extended the availability of this funding to include online/virtual conferences and webinars, research incentives, software/computer programs, and dissertation support. Training or paid exams required for students majors are NOT able to be covered.

Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee that all requests will be approved-therefore you should not make purchases until we confirm that your request is approved. There is no guarantee that the full amount requested will be approved, it is, however, possible that only a portion of the request will be funded based on availability and need.

Funding is only available in the form of reimbursements, and original receipts/email confirmations are required in order to process payment. Awardees MUST submit receipts/confirmations within one week of the date the transaction(s) take(s) place.

If interested, please submit the Marywood Graduate Student Council form. This form must be completed no later than two weeks prior to the date needed to make purchases/pay for registration fees for programs related to a student's  academic program. The Office of Student Engagement will be in touch, prior to form completion,  to inform awardees if the request has been approved.
