Art Therapy Faculty Recognized with Prestigious Ron E. Hays Award

Marywood University is proud to announce that Art Therapy faculty member Abigail Oxford is the recipient of the 2025 Ron E. Hays Presenter Award. The award was presented by the Pennsylvania Art Therapy Association in recognition of Oxford’s national presentation for the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), titled “Beauty in the Imperfections: Transforming Found Treasures into Something New and Meaningful.”
The Ron E. Hays Award honors individuals who advance the field of art therapy through research, education, professional standards, legislation, and public awareness. Oxford’s presentation exemplified these qualities by highlighting innovative approaches to art therapy that transform everyday materials into meaningful creative experiences.
