Marywood University’s annual signature fundraising event, Celebrate Marywood, was a resounding success on May 7, 2026, bringing together alumni, friends, and community leaders for an unforgettable evening in support of the University’s future.
Held outdoors at the Motherhouse and Seminary Morgan Memorial Garden in the heart of campus, the garden party–style celebration featured live entertainment, including dueling pianos, along with a vibrant atmosphere that culminated in a fireworks display. The event once again highlighted the beauty of Marywood’s campus while strengthening connections across the region.
During the celebration, Marywood honored Virginia Doherty McGregor, Scranton, and Father Thomas M. Muldowney, Moscow, for their exceptional service, leadership, and lasting contributions that reflect the University’s mission and positively impact the community.
Created as Marywood’s premier fundraising event, Celebrate Marywood continues to grow in both attendance and impact. This year’s event generated significant support for the renovation and transformation of the Center for Natural & Health Sciences. The project will create a state-of-the-art facility designed to support nursing, physician assistant, pre-med, and science programs through upgraded laboratory spaces, enhanced classrooms, and advanced simulation environments.
Marywood’s natural and health sciences students, who consistently achieve outstanding licensure pass rates ranging from 98% to 100%, are well-prepared to serve with excellence and help meet the growing demand for healthcare and STEM professionals throughout the region.
Christina Mace, Associate Vice President for Development, reflected on the evening, noting that Celebrate Marywood once again delivered “a uniquely Marywood experience with incredible energy, meaningful connections, and overwhelming support for our students and programs.”
With strong community engagement and generous support from attendees and sponsors, Celebrate Marywood 2026 reinforced the University’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to serve the region.
