Seminar Featuring Aviation Alumnus Michael Vanacore-Netz on Nov. 6

Marywood University’s Aviation Management Program in the School for Business and Global Innovation will host an aviation seminar presented by Marywood alumnus and airline transport pilot Michael Vanacore-Netz on Wednesday, November 6, at 6 PM.

The event, which will be held in LAC 112, will address aviation career and industry news, for the educational benefit of Marywood students, especially aviation management students, who will also get a first-hand account of the airline industry they will enter after graduation.

Michael Vanacore-Netz is an Airline Transport Pilot and graduate of Marywood University, with a Bacholor of Business Administration in Aviation Flight Management. He also is a double graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University with a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership, as well as a graduate of American Public University, where he obtained a Master of Science in Space Studies with a concentration in Space Policy. Vanacore-Netz also is an International Air Transport Association Aviation Management Professional (AvMP). Presently, he is enrolled at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University seeking a Master of Space Operations degree. He holds FAA type ratings in the Cessna Citation Jet, Cessna Sovereign, Bombardier Global Express, Gulfstream IV, and Gulfstream V airframes.

As a professional aviator, Vanacore-Netz has flown as pilot in command for various entities across the U.S., spending significant time with Global Air Charters, where he currently holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. As the CEO, he oversees all of Global Air Charters' operations and assets, including a 14 CFR 135 Air Carrier, a 14 CFR 145 Repair Station, a managed fleet of five Gulfstream business jets, and facilities in Allentown, PA, Roseville, MN, and St. Paul, MN. His international experience includes operations in more than 68 countries with significant emphasis in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Vanacore-Netz’s notable aviation contributions include support of NASA, Doctors without Borders, and the U.S. Government, for whom he commanded a Gulfstream aircraft to support the evacuation of military and government personnel, as well as civilians, out of Kabul, Afghanistan, among other significant missions.
