On April 12, 2026 Marywood University celebrated its annual Cor Mariae and Years of Service Recognition, honoring faculty and staff whose dedication and service continue to shape the institution’s legacy.
This year’s event recognized employees reaching milestone anniversaries of 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service. Honored for 25 years were William P. Jackson Jr., Valerie L. Lalli, and Myron Marcinek. Celebrating 30 years of service were Dr. Brooke J. Cannon and Margaret A. Matthias. Those marking 35 years included Ernest D. Mengoni and Martin O’Connor. Recognized for an extraordinary 40 years of service were Mary Ann Roche and William Robert Schaffer.
In addition, the prestigious Cor Mariae Medal was awarded to Dr. Lisa Antoniacci and Rachel Hartz in recognition of their exceptional commitment and contributions to the University.
The Cor Mariae and Years of Service Recognition traces its origins to Marywood’s Jubilee Year in 1965 and continues to honor the commitment, passion, and impact of faculty and staff across generations. The annual event brings together members of the University community to celebrate the individuals whose service forms the foundation of Marywood’s continued growth and success.
Through their years of dedication, this year’s honorees exemplify the mission and values of Marywood University, leaving a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the broader community.
