Veteran Testimonials
When I first started Marywood, I was an unconventional student. I was older, a veteran and a single mother. Everyone from the President down to the staff always welcomed not just me but also that my baby. There were times I had to bring her to classes with me and my professors were so amazing! The fact that Marywood had a daycare on campus was a huge selling point to me. I could not have done this without your help! Thank you Marywood.

"My Marywood Experience has been phenomenal. I started my Marywood journey in 2020, the peak of COVID, but was pleased to find that Marywood offered new ways to get involved and stay active despite restrictions. I originally studied architecture, but when I opted to switch to studying business, the faculty and staff made sure I knew it was the best decision. I have thrived in the business program, achieving the Dean's List each semester in this study and getting involved in opportunities I could not have imagined. I have been inducted into the Business international Honor Society Delta Mu Delta, and the Catholic University national honor society Delta Epsilon Sigma. With the School of Business, I worked with Dr. Speicher and local businesses in a Lackawanna County TecBRIDGE "Business Plan Competition" where I competed with my entrepreneurial idea and gained valuable experience in every aspect of business, all stemming from my entrepreneurship class. I am also representing Marywood University in Poland this summer with the School of Business for a Business Symposium in partnership with an international business program X-Culture. Marywood University and the School of Business has given me amazing experiences I could not have imagined beforehand and is truly setting me up to have a successful career in any industry surrounding business."

"I chose to study Criminal Justice because it is one of the majors that got hand in hand with my job in the military. Marywood has instilled important values that help me complete all my assignments in a timely manner without any discrepancies which results in no re-work. This pays dividends in my career because no one wants to have a worker who can’t complete tasks in a timely manner."
