Dhruvi Fuletra
From the moment Dhruvi Fuletra ’25 set foot on Marywood University’s campus, she knew she had found a place where she could thrive. Drawn to the university’s welcoming and supportive environment, Dhruvi was immediately struck by the warmth of the faculty, staff, and students. “Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the transition to college life much easier,” she shared. With its strong science programs, small class sizes, and commitment to academic excellence, Marywood stood out as the ideal place for Dhruvi to pursue her passion for the medical field.
With aspirations of becoming a Physician Assistant, Dhruvi envisions herself making a meaningful impact in the medical field within the next five years. “My goal is to work in a healthcare setting where I can provide compassionate and quality care to patients, especially those in underserved communities,” she shared. She credits Marywood with preparing her for this future by providing a strong foundation in the sciences, hands-on learning opportunities, and dedicated professors who have guided her along the way.
Beyond academics, Dhruvi has embraced leadership opportunities, serving as the treasurer of the Commuter Student Association (CSA). In this role, she has worked to engage commuter students by organizing events that foster a sense of belonging on campus. Most importantly, Dhruvi values the friendships she has built at Marywood. “One of my greatest accomplishments has been building strong friendships with supportive peers and mentors who have encouraged me throughout my journey. These relationships have helped me grow both personally and professionally.”
Reflecting on her time at Marywood, Dhruvi identifies resilience and adaptability as the greatest lessons she has learned. “Throughout my academic journey, I have faced challenges that tested my perseverance, whether it was mastering difficult coursework, balancing responsibilities, or stepping into leadership roles,” she shared. The university’s nurturing environment, supportive professors, and leadership opportunities have helped her build confidence and push through obstacles. One of her most empowering experiences was conducting an independent study with her anatomy professor. “This experience has strengthened my critical thinking skills and given me the confidence to tackle challenging concepts on my own,” she explained. Additionally, staying for open lab sessions and helping fellow students has further reinforced her knowledge while honing her leadership and communication skills.
Dhruvi’s journey at Marywood has been supported by the President’s Scholarship, which she receives every semester. “This financial support has allowed me to focus on my education and personal growth without constant financial stress,” she explained. Because of this scholarship, she has been able to actively participate in academic and extracurricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded college experience.
Dhruvi is deeply appreciative of the donors whose generosity has supported her educational journey. “Their contributions have not only made college more accessible for students like mebut have also provided opportunities for academic and personal growth,” she said. Because of their support, she has been able to focus on her studies, participate in extracurricular activities, and pursue her dream of becoming a Physician Assistant.
Through dedication, leadership, and perseverance, Dhruvi Fuletra ’25 has made the most of her time at Marywood University. With a bright future ahead, she continues to embody the values of resilience, community, and academic excellence.
